Each June here at Virgin Voyages, we like to go big for Pride Month with larger-than-life events and activations all month long. It’s an important time for us — both internally within our Crew and for our Sailors — to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ community; who for so long has had to continually fight for equality and the right to be seen, heard, and included.
Celebrating Pride has always been significant to us and is deeply embedded into our core values; not just here at Virgin Voyages, but collectively and historically for the Virgin brand. Having ships, and a community of people and culture on our ships, that not only puts diversity at the forefront of our intentions — but views it as one of our greatest strengths — is one of the things we’re most proud of as a company.
And while the world is rapidly opening up (and we’re celebrating that, too), this month’s pride is going to be a little different as we wait for the green light to really bring the party. So this year, we wanted to take some time to highlight our Crew by exploring what Pride means to them.
