Does your Sailor love to laugh? Then you’re in luck because we just launched the Voyage of their dreams. Setting sail from Portsmouth on Resilient Lady 14-19 September, 2024, this voyage is more than just a cruise – it’s our first-ever comedy festival. On this epic 5-night journey, your Sailors will depart from Portsmouth and tour the Low Countries. By day, they’ll sail from Amsterdam to Bruges and explore all those iconic ports have to offer. By night, they’ll head back to Resilient Lady and LOL to some of the UK’s hottest comedy stars and most hilarious up-and-comers. It’s an unmissable Voyage where laughter meets luxury and Sailors will get to experience our usual lineup of award-winning entertainment, five-star-dining, and always-luxury accommodations while being part of VV history on our first-ever comedy sailing.
THE PORTS
Like any other voyage, this epic five-night sailing features stops at iconic ports filled with jaw-dropping beauty to explore. In Amsterdam, your Sailors can stroll cobblestone streets while taking in the city’s iconic canals, cute coffee shops, botanical gardens, and many historical sites. Plus they’ll get a chance to stay overnight here as well and taste the city’s famous (and in some cases infamous) nightlife.
Next we sail over to Zeebrugge, where Belgium’s fairy tale city truly comes to life. Sandwiched between Holland and France, this charming Flemish city can be seen by bike, cobblestone stroll, or canal. In the city center (which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site) your Sailors will take in medieval views while also sipping on modern brews thanks to Belgium’s reputation for making some of the best beer in the world. (We also recommend the chocolate and waffles). With over 500 years of history to explore, no one would blame them for leaving this port a little bit breathless.
THE COMEDY
And if touring the Low Countries in award-winning luxury wasn’t enough, this Voyage will also feature a lineup of some of the UK’s hottest comedians, plus a “NOT TO BE MISSED” (The Guardian) immersive live-action video game. Your Sailors will be smiling at more than just the sunset thanks to performances by Russell Howard, Andre Vincent, Ria Lina, and many, many more. Plus this Voyage will feature an in-house performance of The Dark Room, the world’s only live-action video game that has since become an actual videogame, touring live show, and streaming sensation. Touring since 2012 this interactive show is improv comedy + retro gaming fused into a deranged heavy metal game show exclusively for our Sailors.
